Community Guidelines for a safe and thriving community

A reminder on Chalk’s community guidelines for a safe and thriving community.

Be civil, post responsibly, flag problems and respect each other.

  • Be civil : This is a public forum and search engines index these discussions, so keep the language, links, and images safe for family and friends.

  • Post responsibly: Spreading inaccurate or false information is incredibly irresponsible. Important information has to have credible sources, especially in this era of fake news. Doxxing, astroturfing and masquerading are prohibited. Offenders will not only go against Chalk rules, but that of the Singapore law. Be responsible or face the consequences.

  • Flag problems: If you see a problem, flag it. When you see bad behavior, don’t reply. It encourages the bad behavior by acknowledging it, consumes your energy, and wastes everyone’s time. Just flag it. If enough flags accrue, action will be taken automatically or by moderator intervention. With your help, moderators can be community facilitators and not the police.

  • Respect each other: Do not harass or grief anyone, impersonate people, or expose their private information.

Thank you from everyone at Chalk :smiling_face_with_three_hearts:
